Stormy Weather

After such a calm December and January, February has been a bit of a rolla costa!  It snows then once the snow stops, the temperature goes above freezing and the rain starts and it rains until all the snow has melted and then the temperature goes down and it starts snowing all over again, and just for good measure add in some wind and floods!

The pictures above were all taken this weekend.  The Laggan Dam looking cold and blustery, stags being fed in the snow up the Glen, a very wintery view from the banks at Gaskbeg looking down over the low ground fields and lastly a blink of sunshine on the Gaskbeg Hill once the snow had come back.  The forecast for this coming week is quite good,  it will be very welcome to have some settled weather.

Lots of Snow

The white stuff has arrived again and I think it is going to last a wee bit longer than last weeks offering!  Nevis range is looking good, their facebook page is good for up to date information on conditions.  Today on Gaskbeg is a wee bit more open with blue skies in-between the snow showers, I think the forecast is for frost tonight but warming up slightly by the weekend, but hopefully not enough to melt all the snow on the hill.  The photo below is of the Gaskbeg drive.
